  • chronic cholestatic liver disease:
    • partial biliary obstruction
    • primary biliary cirrhosis
    • primary sclerosing cholangitis
    • drug-induced e.g. anabolic steroids

  • chronic infiltrative liver disease:
    • sarcoidosis
    • malignant metastasis
