Cryoglobulins are circulating proteins which become insoluble at reduced temperatures - less than 4 degrees centigrade. The reaction is reversible; redissolution occurs at 37 degrees centrigrade.

The proteins may be of any immunoglobulin class, be a mixture of different immunoglobulins, or may be a complex of immunoglobulin and serum protein.
