In contrast to irritable bowel syndrome, non-cardiac chest pain and depression there are no studies of the use of of tricyclic antidepressants in non-ulcer dyspepsia.

Tricylics may have a role in the treatment of non-ulcer dyspepsia either at low or full dose.
