This is the inability to produce a concentrated urine due to:

  • a deficiency of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) (cranial diabetes insipidus), or,
  • renal resistance to ADH (renal diabetes insipidus)

Patients present with polydipsia and polyuria.(1).
