Brain damage may result in a change in behaviour which may be serious enough to warrant the diagnosis of a personality disorder.

Commonly the picture is of frontal lobe damage, including:

  • disinhibition
  • loss of social graces
  • sexual indiscretions
  • bad judgements
  • reduced concentration and attention
  • impaired insight
