  • fine inferior cardiac nerves to the cardiac plexuses
  • branches to the pulmonary plexuses
  • branches to the oesophageal plexuses
  • recurrent laryngeal nerves
  • vagal trunks to the abdomen, formed from the oesophageal plexuses
