Waterbrash

Waterbrash is the symptom of tasting acid regurgitated from the stomach; this is a characteristic bitter taste.

This may be a feature of oesophageal reflux or duodenal ulceration.

The combinatin of waterbrash with retrosternal pain - heartburn - is more suggestive of oesophageal reflux rather than a duodenal ulcer.
