Clinical usage has shown that 81-86% of patients have relief of headache within 2 hours of sumatriptan injection.

Trials - 3000 patients 7000 attacks have been treated There have been an average of 15000 prescriptions per month since September 1991.

Dose - 6mg by subcutaneous injection; no more than 12mg/24 hours.
