There is an association between psoriasis and various HLA markers:

  • HLA-B13, B16, B17, B37, Cw6 and DR7 are associated with skin disease
  • HLA-B27, B38, B39, DR4 and DR7 are associated with skin plus joint disease
  • the relative risk is 9-15 times normal for HLA-Cw6
