Small lesions usually present with a sensation of something getting stuck in the throat.

Large lesions usually present with:

  • dysphagia - first for solids, then for liquids
  • weight loss
  • dysphonia - either from direct invasion of larynx or as a result of vocal cord paralysis from recurrent larygneal nerve involvement
  • otalgia

Neck nodes may be palpable.
