The striking feature on radiology is the increased density and thickness of the bone. In addition to this there may be defective metaphyseal modelling.
On spinal radiology there may be a rugger jersey spine appearance.
In some bones there may be a bone within a bone appearance.
If a bone marrow aspiration is attempted the tap may be dry, or very difficult.
