Vincristine is an antineoplastic alkaloid which binds tubulin and results in metaphase arrest. It is used as a sulphate salt in palliative treatment of a variety of malignancies.

Side effects include:

  • sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy
  • mild bone marrow suppression
  • paralytic ileus
  • alopecia
  • joint pain
  • inappropriate ADH secretion
