  • nausea - can usually be avoided by taking tablets with meals
  • postural hypotension - check blood pressure before and during therapy - start with a low dose Other complications include:
  • agitation and insomnia
  • on/off phenomena
  • cardiac arrhythmias are rare but use with caution in heart disease
  • dyskinesia
  • psychiatric symptoms
  • relapse
