On chest radiology ground glass haziness is usually seen at the lung bases.

Additional possible findings include:

  • streaky wisps of shadow with elevation of the diaphragms suggesting basal collapse
  • miliary mottling
  • honeycomb lung develops as the condition progresses and lung function is lost
