Congenital coagulation disorders usually affect a single clotting factor. They are less common than acquired forms.
More common types include:
- Haemophilia A - factor VIII - 90% of inherited causes
- von Willebrands
- Haemophilia B - factor IX
- Factor XI deficiency
- fibrin-stabilising factor deficiency - Factor XIII
