Clinical features
Clinical features of hypoplastic left heart syndrome classically appear between the second and sixth day of life and may include:
- signs of heart failure:
- dyspnoea
- hepatomegaly
- weak or absent peripheral pulses
- cyanosis
- cardiomegaly
- parasternal heave
- systolic murmur
The presentation may be confused with sepsis at first.
