Treatment
A septal perforation is almost impossible to repair.
If whistling is a symptom then enlargement of the septal perforation may resolve the complaint.
Nasal douching with saline or bicarbonate solution will help to reduce crusting around the edge of the defect. Application of antiseptic cream will control infection.
