Aetiology
Causes include:
- unilateral lower limb oedema complicating a deep vein thrombosis
- others:
- unilateral iliac vein obstruction
- ruptured Baker's cyst
- cellulitis
- lymphoedema (including congenital lymphoedema - (Milroy's disease)
- paralysis of a limb may result in localized oedema
- nifedipine
