Clinical features
The term pauciarticular onset refers to involvement of four or less joints. Medium sized joints are usually affected - the knees, ankles, elbows and wrists.
Features include:
- limp
- joint pain and swelling
- reduced range of movement and muscle wasting
- there is a tendancy to contractures
