Q wave MI ('full thickness') Vs. non-Q wave MI ('sub-endocardial')
- short-term mortality 17.1% (Q wave MI); 9.2% (non-Q wave MI)
- long-term mortality 21.3% (Q wave MI); 28.5% (non-Q wave MI)
- re-infarction 6.2% (Q wave MI); 17.5% (non-Q wave MI)
Q wave infarcts occur in about 70% of cases of MIs.
