Aetiology
Causes include:
- idiopathic
- infiltrations or granulomatous disease:
- amyloidosis - commonest cause in the UK
- sarcoidosis
- malignancy, such as leukaemic infiltration
- haemochromatosis
- eosinophilic endomyocardial disease
- endomyocardial fibrosis
- familial storage disease:
- glycogen storage disease
- mucopolysaccharidoses
- endocardial fibroelastosis
