Pneumonitis
Pneumonitis is a rare side effect of Methotrexate:
- dry cough, fever or breathlessness
- more common if underlying lung disease
Action:
- admit urgently as the patient may need intensive care
- withdraw methotrexate and administer corticosteroids to a patient with suspected pneumonitis (1)
