Bisoprolol fumarate
Bisoprolol fumarate is a cardioselective B-blocker which appears to have no effect on cholesterol levels. It is minimally more expensive than atenolol.
Indications:
- hypertension
- angina
Dose:
- usually, 10 mg od
- the maximum recommended dose is 20 mg/day
- in some patients 5 mg/day may be sufficient
