Week 2:

  • 20mg i.m. test dose

Continue:

  • 50mg i.m. weekly
  • until total dose of 1000mg or clinical remission
  • remission usually takes 8-16 weeks

Maintenance dose:

  • reduce to 50mg every 2-4 weeks, depending on the clinical response
