Piebaldism
Piebaldism is a form of partial albinism.
- stable, depigmented patches with pigmented macules scattered within occuring on the ventral surface of the body are characteristic.
- autosomal dominant inheritance.
- a white forelock occurs in 85% of cases.
- ears and eyes are normal.
Treatment: photoprotection. Transplantation of melanocytes has been attempted.
