Pitting (nails)
Pinpoint or larger punctuate depression in a normal nail plate (1).
Causes include
- psoriasis – usually seen in around 10-15% of patients with psoriasis
- Reiter’s syndrome and in other connective tissue disorders
- sarcoidosis
- pemphigus
- alopecia areata (1)
