Differential diagnosis
This includes:
- discoid eczema - well defined; itchy; crusty rather than scaling; predilection for limbs
- seborrhoeic eczema - ill defined; brown lesions; greasy scale; affects scalp, face, upper chest and flexures
- tinea corporis - well defined; slightly itchy; red scaly margins; central clearing; asymmetrical
- mycosis fungoides
