  • membranous glomerulonephritis - probably the result of the reaction of autoantibodies with subepithelial antigens

  • focal and diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis have the worst prognosis

  • if there is active glomerulonephritis then there is generally high titres of anti-dsDNA antibodies and hypocomplimentaemia
