Turner-Kiser syndrome
Nail-patella syndrome also known as Iliac Horn syndrome, Hereditary Onychoostedysplasia, Fong Disease or Turner-Kiser syndrome is a congenital nail disorder with an autosomal dominant inheritance (1).
The disease is characterized by
- nail and elbow dysplasia
- patellar aplasia or hypoplasia
- iliac horns (1).
Other involved sites include
- kidneys
- eyes - open-angle glaucoma, cloverleaf dark pigmentation of the iris, micro and sclerocornea, and cataracts
- central and/or peripheral nervous systems - peripheral polyneuropathy and vasomotor dysfunction (uncommon) (1)
