Leukocytes (anaerobic glycolysis)
Leukocytes need energy to drive activities such as migration and phagocytosis. These need to occur in environments where the supply of oxygen may be limited. Consequently, they rely on anaerobic glycolysis to supply at least part of their energy requirements.
