Multiple endocrine neoplasia
This describes an inherited predisposition to tumours of a number of specific endocrine glands. The condition is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner.
There are two main types - MEN I and II.
The incidence of MEN I is thought to be greater than that of MEN II but figures have yet to be determined.
