The treatment of osteomalacia is dependent up on the cause. (1) (2)

If the condition is due to a nutritional lack of vitamin D it is treated by an adequate diet and supplements of calciferol and calcium. Note that vitamin D therapy can cause dangerous hypercalcaemia.
