Types
Rickets can be thought of as including the following types:
- vitamin D deficiency
- renal osteodystrophy
- vitamin D dependent rickets, types I and II
- hypophosphataemic rickets
- Fanconi's syndrome - not strictly a type of rickets, but an important subset in the causes
