  • numerous sweat ducts:
    • convoluted
    • arising in upper dermis
    • surrounded by fibrous stroma
    • some lining cells deformed into a characteristic 'tadpole' shape
  • ultrastructural detail:
    • numerous tonofilaments
    • glycogen deposits
    • lots of lysosomes in luminal cells
