Clinical features of nasal origin
Specific features include:
- pain in the cheek - this is frequently referred to the region of the frontal sinus, temporal region or upper teeth
- tenderness over the cheek
- oedema of the the cheek - rare; usually in children
General features include:
- malaise
- pyrexia
Sinus x-ray may show a fluid level in the maxillary antrum.
