Types of primary hydrocoele include:
- vaginal hydrocoele - most common
- congenital hydrocoele
- hydrocoele of the cord - rare
- hydrocoele of the canal of Nuck - comparable to that of the cord but occurs in relation to the round ligament
- hydrocoele en Bisac - very rare
