D- haemolytic uraemic syndrome
D- haemolytic uraemic syndrome is an atypical, sporadic form of the condition, much rarer than the D+ form.
Other features are:
- heterogeneous aetiologies
- form found in adults with HUS
- 70% develop chronic renal failure
