Drug-induced pancreatitis
Drugs which are well known to induce acute pancreatitis include:
- thiazides
- azathioprine
- tetracyclines
- sodium valproate
- frusemide
- oestrogens
- corticosteroids
- sulphonamides
Drugs which may cause acute pancreatitis include:
- phenformin
- rifampicin
- ethacrynic acid
- diphenoxylate
- metronidazole
- cimetidine
- indomethacin
- chlorthalidone
