Glucose tolerance factor is an organic complex of chromium with dinicotino-glutathione. It is a dietary compound that has been linked with the maintenance of glucose tolerance:
- increased dietary GTF in normal individuals augments the action of insulin
- GTF in diabetics reduces insulin requirements
