Whole protein feed

Authoring team

Whole protein feed is a type of tube feed which has as its nitrogen source whole protein. The feed also contains hydrolysed fat and carbohydrate.

The important prerequisite for this sort of feed to be selected is that the patient's own digestive and absorptive processes are intact. This is true in the majority of patients.
