Complications of alcohol poisoning
Complications of acute alcohol poisoning include:
- inhalation of vomit which can be fatal - maintain airway by keeping patient in the recovery position
- hypoglycaemia in children and some adults - check blood glucose and give 50% glucose i.v. if required
