The superficial lymph plexuses of the lung originate from the layer deep to the visceral pleura lining the outside of the lung parenchyma.

They drain the deeper lung and the superficial pleura.

They drain to the bronchopulmonary lymph nodes. The bronchopulmonary lymph nodes follow the successive chain of nodes detailed in the submenu.
