These include:

  • dry mouth (27% of patients)
  • constipation (17% of patients)
  • increased sweating (14% of patients)
  • urine hesitancy (and occasionally urinary retention) occurs in 4-12% of patients (predominantly men).
  • in up to 10% of patients they may experience symptoms related to tachycardia or hypotension.
  • other effects include impotence (5%) and insomnia (14%).
