Side effects

Unwanted effects in reported in randomised placebo-controlled trials of tiagabine as add-on therapy include:

• dizziness
• tiredness
• non-specific nervousness
• less common side effects included diarrhoea, tremor, depression and emotional lability
• rare side effects included confusion, speech impairment, drowsiness, weakness, psychosis, and leucopaenia
