Note that Augmentin should rarely be seen as a first-line drug for the treatment of common bacterial infections in general practice. Consult local microbiological guidance regarding the indications for use for Augmentin in your area.

  • often a first-line treatment for severe dental infections, post-partum infections and human and animal bites
