Growth failure
Treatment of growth failure may include:
- calorie and vitamin (B,C) supplements, and balanced first class protein as guided by a dietician
- nasogastric feeding may be needed
- it may be necessary to give bicarbonate and salt supplements to certain patients
- early dialysis may be indicated
