Clinical features
The four cardinal symptoms and signs of acute ostemyelitis are:
- pain
- fever
- inflammation
- acute tenderness
Antibiotics therapy may modify this presentation.
Notably, the radiographs are normal for the first 10 days.

- children
- neonates
