Coxsackie viruses
Coxsackie viruses are enteroviruses, ie picornaviruses, which cause the following diseases:
- hand foot and mouth syndrome, types A5, A10 and A16.
- Bornholm disease
- herpangina
- myocarditis in children, and particulary type B in neonates
