Nocardiasis
Nocardiasis is infection by a group of saprophytic, Gram-positive filamentous bacteria. Access is gained to the host via breaches in the skin, especially the foot - e.g. "Madura foot", or through inhalation. Respectively, chronic subcutaneous infection or pneumonia may result.
