Piperacillin
Piperacillin has a broad spectrum and is more active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa than ticarcillin.
Indications are infection due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Cautions:-
- history of renal impairment and allergy
Contra-indications:-
- penicillin hypersensitivity.
Side-effects:-

Routes of administration:-
- i.m. injection
- Slow i.v. injection
- i.v. infusion
